Japanese transport operators launched IC cards. The most famous one is Suica

It's like easy card in Taiwan. You can pay by Suica when buying a metro ticket, buying things in convenience stores or from vending machines

It is really practical for foreign passengers. It helps save time counting change

Here are some IC cards that you can use in Japan:

Suica, PASMO, Kitaca, TOICA, manaca,

ICOCA, SUGOCA, nimoca, hayakaken, PiTaPa

It has multiple functions. You can take the JR east line, metro and bus with this card

You can also use it as electronic money. You can pay with this card if there is an IC card sign

※ JR east line in Tokyo, metro and bus

JR PASS

The Japan Rail Pass is the most affordable ticket for traveling around Japan on the train

There are some routes where you cannot use the pass, including Tokaido, Sanyo, "Nozomi" of Kyushu Shinkansen and "Mizuho"

Go to the website. According to the destination, select the correct travel ticket for the region and number of days

We bought the JR east for 5 days. The fee is NT$4,999

After arriving in Japan, you can get your JR pass by presenting your passport at the tourist service center in Sendai Airport

※ Although Eki Net is a Japanese website, we didn’t have to get our ticket one day in advance. It was more convenient for us.

 

KLOOK is a Chinese website.

It is the most convenient choice for people who don't know Japanese!

The tickets here are cheaper than on other websites, and there are some coupons from time to time. Besides, some special itineraries and tickets can be found here
